Sad start to holidays for someone, would've had to be a gas leak and an ignition source.
We should always check our gas system for leaks with soapy water, before a trip, and never travel with the fridge running on gas or the cylinders turned on. Gas cylinders don't "explode" unless caught in a fire so will be interesting to hear what happened.

Friendship is not a relationship with someone whom you've known for a long time, but with someone you trust, under any circumstances.
Both articles used the words "explode" referring to the gas bottles. Neither picture shows enough carnage for a bottle explosion. Just remember that these articles were written by journalists who don't know the difference between a fire and an explosiion. In these fires it's extremely rare for the bottle to actually explode.
