Alcohol helps you remember things when youre over 60, according to new research.
Researchers from the University of Texas Medical Branch at the University of Kentucky and University of Maryland say light to moderate alcohol consumption is associated with the ability to recall memories, science news website PsyPost.org reports. Their findings were detailed in the American Journal of Alzheimers Disease and Other Dementias.
Researchers studied data from 660 patients before determining that moderate alcohol consumption leads to larger hippocampal brain volume.
