WE know the Beenleigh area near Brisbane Q. very well. I was just wondering what was the overnight fee for a stay. Ideally positioned for trip to Brisbane and not that far from the theme parks of the Gold Coast at Coomera, or Surfers for that matter.
I believe that Logan City still have on their agenda to possibility ( I repeat the possibility) of perhaps???? allocating a number of overnight spots in their city.
Will keep everyone posted.
I have been pushing for this type of action within our city for a couple of years.

Don't hold your breath waiting for council to do anything about free camps in Logan. There are heaps of places they could allocate and it would be a boon to the area.
Beenleigh showgrounds charge $25 a night and no pets allowed. Personally I would rather go up to Sharps Park at Canungra, it is still local enough for theme parks on the Gold Coast and a trip into Brisbane

Hi Radar. Yes, I don't poke my nose in here much these days, mainly because I haven't done much travelling for awhile. Home to Tin Can Bay is about it.

I lived most of my life in Logan, way before it was a city. biggrin

And even though I now live at Scarborough, I keep an eye on what's happening 'back home'.

With the train to Gold coast and Brisbane from Beenleigh the Beenleigh Showground on the south side of Brisbane would be like what Lawton Showgrounds to to the north side of Brisbane with train into Brisbane and The Sunshine Coast .

They ruined the Showgrounds when they put the road through the middle. Lot off vans in there .
