Hi All, Blaze Aid are currently helping local farmers restore their fences following the recent flooding after cyclone Marcia. They have set up in three locations, Monto, Biloela and The Caves out of Rockhampton.
Any Grey Nomad who has a few days to spare before heading to Wuruma Dam would be made very welcome. I am here at the Monto Showgrounds along with Mr & Mrs Crackles. There is free water/power, three meals a day provided. The volunteers are a great bunch and it is a pleasure to help out these farmers, some of them have had five floods in four years. The floods not only damage their properties but also robs them of their income.
So come and lend a hand, even if for a day or two. Thanks in advance Colleen
P.S. Even if you can't do the fencing side of things there are less physical jobs like catering or cleaning/washing of work clothes.

Two more willing workers arrived today from the Grey Nomads Forum, welcome Chris and Chris. We will be here until 20 April so come join in for a day or two if you are in the area. As they say many hands make light work and it will be great to meet a few more GN's.
