Hi all. I have just sold my 2nd hand 5th Wheeler which had 2 tanks holding over 300 litres of fresh water . This was more than enough and I never ran out when free camping. I am now looking at purchasing a new caravan which has a standard 90 litre fresh water tank with the option of up to 3 x 90 litre tanks. My question is for an light (not heavy) free camper how much fresh water would you suggest. Forget the use of washing machine during free camping. My feeling is probably 2 x 90 litre but then again is it better to perhaps go for 3 x 90 litre and therefore always have more if I need it being also aware of the extra weight.
Your thoughts on your water usage/capacity/requirements for your own light free camping experience would be appreciated.

We have 2x 90L water tanks on our van and carry 2x 20L containers, when we go exploring we refill the containers in towns and use them to top up the van back at the camp site.
I have 2x95lt fresh water tanks and 1x95lt grey water tank. Fresh weighing in at 190kg approx. I have just last week discovered my ATM is 160kg over weight so had the two fresh isolated to I can travel with only one full, saving 95kg. I still have to sort out the rest. A project to work on.
So IMO, WEIGHT needs to be considered.
