We have just returned from Tamworth where we stayed at the Paradise Tourist Park. One of the things about caravanning is we frequently encounter better caravan parks, and this one moves near the top in our experience. The reception people were magnificent; the powered sites were just that, not extraordinary but there were level concreted tracks for the van's wheels thus ensuring no problem with being level; the toilets/showers were clean without being any thing out of the ordinary; but the laundry was newly refurbished and another one was/is being built. The outstanding feature however was the well-equipped, spacious, spotlessly clean community kitchen, adjoining spacious and likewise well fitted out family space with large sized tv screen and nice lounges etc; then there was the very large under cover barbecue/dining area with three stainless, "free gas" barbecues complete with thongs and barbecue tools. There is also a swim pool, but that had no interest for us. Located within comfortable walking distance of the city centre (it is at the end of the main street), this is indeed a caravan park woth recommending. We stayed seven nights and have no complains whatsoever.
