Have you got any time to spare.

Good Evening Everyone,

This is a request for help. Blazeaid is in need of your help for a day or two or a week or more whatever you can spare.

There are camps in South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland.

If you are travelling past a camp please consider dropping in for a bit.

I am at Monto in Queensland and I am having a ball, we go out each day here to remove flood debris from fences

and help secure Farmers properties. then back to camp, clean up and happy hour before tea.

Blazeaid is supplying all meals with the help of local donations.

We are at the showgrounds with a powered site and water for free.

Blazeaid also supplies hi-vis work shirts, trousers and boots if required and the ladies here even wash them every day.

So please consider, a few days of your time can make a difference to a family hit with disaster.

Google Blazeaid to find a camp on your route

Crackles

Craig

We have thought about helping with Blazeaid before but have never been in the right place at the right time. At present in nth Qld but maybe later this year

Not to sure about Blazeaid supplying personal gear like  boots, pants and shirts! Maybe a local thing! High vis vests, safety glasses, and gloves are the only things I have seen on the two sites I have worked from.

Hi Kandagal, there are two other Blaze Aid camps besides the one here at Monto. There is one in Biloela and another at The Caves just outside Rockhampton. All would appreciate any help. I am at Monto and the appreciation from the farmers ( some of whom have had 5 floods in 4 years ) make all our efforts worthwhile.

Hi Little nose we are supplied with hi viz shirts, vests, boots if needed, trousers, gloves, safety goggles, sunscreen, insect repellant and wonderful meals.

Anyone who can offer a day or two or a few weeks would be most welcome. Cheers Colleen

Thanks Colleen, all true I never knew how rewarding it is helping these people.

By the way I have only been a member for a little while and it was a very great pleasure to find out you are

a Grey Nomad as well.

You are the first fellow Nomad Bev and I have met.

Maybe we will meet some more while we are here.

Maybe some of my Wonga bound friends will call in.

Cheers Crackles

Hi Craig and Bev it was fun putting Sarg thru the paces on the fence line today. With the extra pair of hands our 1/2 day job was over by morning tea and what a morning tea it was with hot scone, cake and biscuits all home made and yummy put on by Liz Robertson our farmers wife. Cheers Colleen
