Does anyone have first hand experience, good or bad, of using chinese bearings & brake components on vans. We need to service ours and are keen to hear from others.
I've used Chinese made Timken bearings in 6X4 trailers plus my Avan Cruiser with no problems. From what I've observed, bearing failure is more to do with lack of maintenance and/or poor installation than country of origin.
Good Luck

I would suggest that a fair percentage of the bearings in the cars we drive today may have been made in China.
most goods, including mechanical and electrical are made in China. Most Japanese quality products are made in China eg - Toshiba laptops (regarded as a top quality unit), Toyota vehicles shipped to most countries.
Quality = price. If its cheap, it doesn't matter where its made, its probably garbage
Now that MacDonalds has opened up in China, labour is not so cheap anymore and many multi-nationals are moving to Vietnam - Nike, Addidas have completely closed down in China and moved to Vietnam, because of cheap labour (and no, the retial prices don't come down....their profits go up)
