Placement of battery, charger etc

Hi guys. Like many small motorhome vans my battery, charger, and regulator are all under my bed, where a small amount of storage is too. There are holes in the top of the bed base covering this lot but my mattress is on top of this.

To be honest I cant find it getting heated under there,( like it does around my small 50l waeco fridge!) but Just checkin to see if everyone else has a similar enclosed setup of closed space for their batteries etc.

And does your cabinets around your fridge feel warm in hot weather? It does have an open space and a vent at the back.

Cheers Di

Hi didi, my 2 batteries are under one seat of my cafe seating and all seems fine there. What I do seem strange is the chargers are not anywhere near them and I thought they should be fitted spas close as possible but there ya go.

Yes my fridge gets hot around it as well but the fan and shade screen down that side helps heaps. I did ask for insulation to be fitted all around the fridge during the build but that didn't happen. My van is going to the dealer soon for a service and that is on the list to be sorted as I did ask before the build.

Edit.....bloody iPad key board again.

Di you need to make sure you have a small fan and enough space to have the air circulation around the area...

If you don't.. Do Not be surprised if your Charger does not last as long as it should....

The inverter needs to have air circulating around it..

there is space around the regulator, battery etc jeurgen - the storage is to the side and on a platform above I just wondered what others were like.
