I love Pelicans. I can just watch them all day. My husband does call them sh---ing machines!

G'day Brenda & Alan,  Thanks for the pictures.  I love them too..  We had a place at Metung on the Gippsland Lakes for some years and here are a few of the ones I liked.  Of course there was no shortage of pelicans there! Your action shots are great.  As you can see I like to take closer stuff.

Four of the shots are of the one bird lifting off the water in sequence they are 10,2 4 &3. I loaded them in order but the internet had other ideas.

Bob we were on a river cruise out of Wentworth and they had to be just about run over before they would move. There was just this one that took of in the right direction for these shots.
