Hi All, seems like ages ago I joined here and our first van is due this week. The spare room is full of gear we plan to place inside the van. So here is the question...what sort of camping light lantern torch do you use. There is so much on the market...upright lanterns, torches, LED, re-chargeable etc. Do you have an all in one? I can imagine you might want one for general lighting and then one to shine on a specific job? Any suggestions welcome...
Last year we bought a torch from the fire fighters. This is the one they have on their helmet. The only name I can see on the torch is UK. It carries 3 AA batteries and gives a good deep beam.

We started off with a range of torches and lanterns few of which ever got used and after we bought a torch with a Cree LED array and an adjustable lens all the other portable light sources got dumped. We also bought two head mounted Cree LED units - they get a bit warm but provide great light when you're doing something in the dark that requires both hands (I leave what that could be up to your imagination)
