My old man spent his life trying to find the perfect pork sausage - never did. He once told me that when in England during the Great War that he did taste some that came close, but that was when he was on leave from France and the trenches eating bully beef and biscuits so maybe that's why they tasted so good. I've followed in his footsteps and keep searching. Sometimes you buy some and they are scrumptious, then next time, same shop, they are different.
