Bridge clearances for RVs

Hi there ... A while back I came upon a website or app that listed all the bridge heights .. Not sure if Aus wide or state. At that time I really was not interested as travelled with a camper. Now we have a C class MH I would be interested to keep the site on my favourite list Just to be safe!

Does anyone know of this site or one similar??

Many thanks

The HEMA Truckies Atlas would be worth a look.
We use a Garmin dezl GPS in Europe that is programmable for vehicle height, width, length and weight. Works most of the time there. Check out it for Australia.

Cheers,
Peter

I just bought a new Navman GPS with a built in Crash cam. They have a paid upgrade which gets you to enter your vehicle dimensions so it won't send you under low bridges or roads not suitable for your rig.

I got mine from Dick Smith for $199 the same unit from JB was $299. It has up to four free map upgrades a year and the map upgrade for larger vehicles is $35. My rig is 3.2 high so well worth the extra for the large vehicle maps.

I expect there are other options out there someone will let you know about.

CMCA has their Geowiki which you download to your GPS etc. I purchased a Dezl here in Aus and you can set you vehicles dimensions, hopefully it has all the records of low bridges you come to. I printed out the Geowiki list and kept it in the bus.

Thanks for you help - the one on the CMCA site is what I was looking for - it also has stacks of additional info there. It is not the one I originally saw, but does provide the info I need. Will have to spend a bit of time and check out what else is there. Been a member for several years and to my shame have not explored the site that much other than checking out the van sales and occasionally working on the road lists.

Cheers and happy travels
