Stopped at Woolies servo at Lake Fair,Newcastle for some fuel. I almost fell over when the price was $1.15 a litre.

most other places I have seen in Newcastle the price is up around $1.35

Her in Perth, Petrol price dropped a lot quicker than diesel. Cheapest I have seen on south side has been $1.27. Hopefully it will drop further.

Sorry to say but the price of oil is going up on the moment
It went up today by 5 cent
so we will find that the petrol & diesel price is shortly on the way up again
what a pity

funny how diesel is the 1st product to be produced when they fractionate crude oil - petrol costs a lot more to produce. But diesel is always dearer. In Perth about a week ago, a BP spokesperson said is was because only 37% of vehicles are diesel and most of them are commercial who don't complain - just pass on the high price to the retailer (adds to our buying costs).

In Perth the majors went as cheap as around $1.43.9 whereas Gull and and a few others always sell it without a discount coupon for about 20c cheaper - so how much profit does Coles, Woolworths, BP and Caltex make???
