We are in an Isuzu Elf and will be driving from Wollongong to Newcastle. In such a vehicle (small truck) is it best to by-pass Sydney suburbs or just bite the bullet and do the Sutherland, Sans Souci, Harbour Bridge, Chatsoood, Pacific Highway to the Kalga Ourimba freeway trick? I haven't driven that way for years... Cheers
If it were me, I'd go via this way. Tolls apply on M7 but it is a good multi-lane trip the whole way. Quicker, and less stressful, than across the bridge I would have thought.
Hi Jim,
We travel from the south of Sydney to the south coast all the time often pulling our van and I think you would be better going up the Mt Ousley rd and turning into Picton rd. This then takes you more directly to the expressway without the hassle of Campbelltown and Narellan. Then M7 which is a great road.
Cheers
