Well ,oh joy ,blood test day today ,and despite our local med centre being only 5 mins up the road ,i`ve had much pain and slight nerve damage from them in the past so a trip to a more skilled operative was required .
Left home at 7.30 am, arrived /signed in on the Covid sheet at 8.45am at the main blood /lab services reception . .Waiting at 9.15! waiting at 9.30 !! Waiting at 9.45 am !!!(Bloomin Ellen d`generes on the tele doin my head in ) Seen at 9.55 am .Out at 10.05am. Home by 11.15am . But NO PAIN .
Why oh why do waiting rooms show all this mind numbing rubbish on the teles`s .Oh yeh, also shown was a short few minutes clip on Vaginal health .Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh .!!

Whenever I go to a medical appointment I always take a good book The hours just fly by.

For a diversion I play with the internet browser on my iPhone.

What did I do today .. Well the plan is ...

Breakfast over by about 10am

Being Monday & at home .. clean the house while SWMBO does the ironing.

Then, begin the job of replacing the railings & bottom rail on the back deck. H3 timber rotted out after 22 years.

When the sun goes down, mow the grass. Needs doing every week in this weather.

Relax with a nice red at about 5.30 followed no doubt by a short snooze after dinner. To bed by midnight

I cut the front hedge at home the other day . Stood on a sharp cutting . Didnt think much about it . Now it seems to be sore . So Ive bandaged it with some iodine type ointment . Possibly go check the water injection on Motorhome ? Re wire so I can manually turn it on . Now I have sorted the fault code issues !! 6.5 GM Detroit .

Best treatment for the foot is bathing each morning in very salty hot water. Keep it up for a week or so. Betadine after bathing if you wish. Keeping it dry between salt bathing essential.

Edit ..

If using a power hedge trimmer, be sure to clean blades & lubricate with Lanolin spray after use. For petrol engines empty out (unleaded 91) fuel after use & let it idle until remaining fuel used up.

My bill is in the mail.

Hello cupie, i hope your foot is getting better.

today i am playing the coles n woolies game. Whoever i get the best weekly deal from i shop there. Coles offered spend $30 week 1, $30week 2, $30 week 3 and get 10,000 points = $50. Ho, ho, its off to coles i go. I have got a couple of hundred dollars so far off groceries. Keeps my mind active and i get paid.

Its raining, its pouring, the caravan park is emptying out, easter is over. Its a day inside for us watching dvds. I am watching mr selfridge and have all 4 seasons. highly recomnend.

Hi all, hope you are saving up to come see this great little of country of ours now we are soon to be in the same `bubble` . Yeh ,i know, safer to stay home a bit longer eh .
Anyway ,today started ok but had to head out earlier than i would have liked ,missus usually brings me coffee in bed before going to work ,as her work mate who lives just up the road couldn`t start her car ,and so kindly left me the keys to sort .
Flat battery ,but took 30mins to push the bloody thing backwards out of the very narrow junk filled garage(why oh why do people drive forward into the garage which then leaves absolutely no room to even lift the bonnet) before i could get to jump start it from my van .Took for a wee run to charge up .That sorted ,i reversed car into her garage and will have words as to why this is a better proposition in case it happens again .Clutch seems about buggered too so i will become a bearer of more doom later on today .!
A good breakfast was thus earned .
Sun is hot again so put up a bit more shade in the tunnel house to stop my seedlings withering .
Looked through my list of `to do` jobs ,can`t function without a list, and decided that tomorrow would be a better day to complete a few .,so will sit on the deck and have a beer before teatime and the missus gets home .
On the tele watching front i`ve lately been through all the available dvd`s of Morse ,Endeavor and now on Lewis .,and of course `Only fools and horses ` Magic .
Missus currently on binge mode in the weekends catching up with `ER` .

I, me, myself, M.U.I.T.S (My Ugly Identical Twin Sister) & Moi which is my committee for decision making, found our heavy duty (2mm dia S.S.) crab pot bait clips with the also lost crab pots which in turn caused me to spend a few $$$$ at Port Hughes buying two new crab pots coz I wanted to catch crabs 2 weeks ago when on a trip to Port Hughes for a week!

Saw mud crabs for sale in Albury, " on the hoof " for $59.99 per kg. At least claws tied with synthetic string. Not like in my days of taking them from Maryborough to Brisbane Fish markets. Rotten string, rotten spud bags, had to often do a round up at 5am once the truck was untarped.

Why - thank you Rocket, we did go crabbing at Pt Hughes, got one legal sized Bluey,

Been once more since at the outer Harbour platforms and got two legals.

Nice new pots work well, will end up with five pots when the three old ones are renovated with wire mesh bottom rings.

Pulled out all the old lettuce plants, planted some garlic bulbs, pulled out most of the tomato plants, still had plenty off tomatoes on the plants, new growth and flowers, threw in some weeding, took the picked tomatoes over to the neighbours, finish off the rest tomorrow.

Did a meals on wheels shift, came back to my car to find a woolf spider on the drivers seat, nice hunky guys (young enough to be my grandsons) tried to catch it but it ran under the seat, they said they could see it but couldn't get to it so left me to my own devices. Had to walk to the shops and buy some spray and get a taxi back (supposed to be staying off my right foot) . Sprayed half the can and eventually it crawled out slowly and I squashed it.
This might not sound that eventful unless you know me, just ask my son or my husband; I've been know to jump out of a moving car. So there was no way I going to get in the car with a spider and drive the 30min drive home at 100km speed limit. Sooo glad I found it or I might still be in the car park. At least only my arm pits got wet lol

I, me, myself, moi and MUITS sat down for a morning coffee and chat with my partner in crime and other adventures (commonly called my wife) and I re-established contact with this beautiful forum/website on my "new" laptop - read redeemed juiced and broken touch screen device.

Was juiced (a small cup of fruit juice spilt on key board & screen cracked when dropped) and therefore judged useless. A good friend told us that he makes a lot of similar devices workable again and so has done so.

it is nice to be back on line.

We also looked at the same option and came to the same conclusion. Lining someone elses pocket.

We initially wanted to just sell everything and travel to the end of our use by dates but realised that we may not be able to do the caravan thing when we became old and physically unable. So what then..? We then decided that we would buy a house outright with few overheads and still have the means to travel and that when this time of unable came along we had a home to go back too.

Had our Navara serviced at our local Nissan dealer, went to the PO & put a 3 week hold on our mail for a trip away during March & bought some Tank Cleaner from BCF to clean our water tank in the caravan & three 20 litre water bottles.
Heading way out bush, camping with no-one else around next month. We find our own campsites, no neighbors.

Picked the wife up from work for the last time ,as she handed in her notice 2 weeks ago ,and now we are free to do and go whatever ,and whenever we want . Bliss after a lifetime of bloody toil for us both .
Mines a Guinness or 2 and the wifes a bottle of fizz !! Andy .

Thanks guys, were based in NZ but hopefully now we have the time we can do a `1st visit over to you . We were actually gonna book a holiday(significant anniversarry) just before covid and a few other health issues hit at the same time ,Few days on a Murray river cruise was on the ittinery and explore around Adelaide .Keeping everything crossed for later in the year . Pretty average day for me.

The need to replace the anode in my water heater came as a task in my diary.
I replace it every six months and this is the second cheaper anode I have fitted. I think that I am getting about the same degradation from the cheap ones I am now using as I was when I was buying the expensive ones from caravan sales outlets.

Works out about $26 compared to $40

We travelled up to Red Hill/Main Ridge for lunch at Ye Olde English Pub, The Pig & Whistle.
Clear views of a very calm Port Phillip Bay from the summit, chair lift was busy.

Hi .well couple of days ago actually, but fitted a replacement small hinge(only half) on the front locker of our Jayco c/van .2nd this yr and there an absolute bugger to do!! Made of what we used to call `monkey metal`,some useless cheap alloy crap that just breaks down and splits off . You can only get to replace the door part as the frame is glued as well as screwed on and this hides the other screws. Couldn`t undo the screw that held the hinge to the actual door so had to grind the rest of the hinge to bits .Then chisel a small portion off the frame to get an Allen key in to undo the tiny(3-4mm dia)grub screws,which hold the centre pin in place.
Jesus, over 3 hrs toil just to change half a damn hinge!
Was told by supplying dealer that having the locker door vertical down puts too much stress on the hinges ,so i then fitted a wire check strap to stop this happening ,another half hr. or so .
Heaven knows why these cannot be fitted at the factory when new ,eats into the profit too much i suppose .
