Probably the reason why few if any sites are being reported is because too many regular posters on this forum have been preoccupied with more important things, like offensive new avatars or banging on about stuff which is completely irrelevant to those who joined the forum to gain information on such matters.
Thankfully sites like Wikicamps exist and they don't put up with the nonsense which has been permitted to overtake this once excellent facility. Perhaps Cindy might like to take a leaf out of their book and temporarily close the forum and rid it of some of the people who are currently ruining it for the majority.
Perhaps the actual reason for there being not as much "action" on the Free and Budget Camp Sites sub-forum is that those forum members who usually post to that sub-forum are those who travel either full-time or regularly.
This time of year is when most find a good spot and "sit out" the northern wet and tolerate the southern hot and changeable.
Thanks for posting the reminder Terry ... it may spur those who are sitting 'down south' to check out their diaries and update some of the sites they have visited throughout the year.
Fastcoast, I would afford you salutation by your name - if we knew it, this may help you to be a little more positive.
Cheers - John

Or maybe they are keeping them quiet ,so that next time they are up that way they don't find 200 vehicles parked up there and no room for themselves. Not just from site members, but by others that like to google free camp sites etc...
And geez mate, don't be so hard on yourself..

Thanks everyone When planing a trip it always great to go into the Free and Budget site to see what out there . We all have our Camp books and Wikicamp but get to hear from member of the forum what they thought of a site or caravan park , On my last trip I posted when I found a good or bad site and hope it help someone . Also on general forum we could post some good trip to tackle . I like going to places like Maleny Showground has a base to vist the sunshine coast hinterland of Queensland and short run to the coast at $19 a night power and water , Lots cheaper than a coast caravan happy travels .

When I join the Forum in 2007 it was great to read about where people were traveling to and where they were stoping and you could ask about which route was the best for Grey nomads I did learn am lot , So I was hoping new people could ask about the same thing and get the help they are looking for .
Brickies - a great post and quite an innocent one - pity fastcoach is so bitter, negative and inpleasant. Perhaps she or he can leave this site and just use wikicamps.
We want positive people here, either gaining from information given or contributing in whatever way - not their sort of garbage!!!

Bill B ! there is NO mob mentality here, IF you new the facts and the history, and the damage caused to the forum By Negative posters, you would understand WHY those comments are directed towards people who keep dragging up the Past, This Forum lost a Lot of good members, because of a destructive few, However the past is the past, and whilst the forum is reconstructing itself, Negative posts dragging up past history, is Not helping, ??
Brickies put up a very good and interesting post, that has been Hijacked, ?? By a post being made , with the sole purpose of causing disruption, ?
[ My apologies to brickies for adding to the hi-jack ]
