Caravanning with cats around the North West

I travel full-time with 2 cats. It's just the way things have worked out for me. Next year I want to go up from Perth across the North West and around to the NT. I would want to stay mainly in caravan parks. Has anyone who has been around that route experienced any difficulties or problems ,such as being excluded from notionally pet-friendly caravan parks, because you travel with a cat?

Hi my family members travell quite a bit around the West and up North each year and they also have a cat and dog. They have never been refused entry into a caravan Park. They do notify the Park manager when booking a site that they have animals on board .Try and get a Pet Friendly caravan book and take with you, we get ours from the RAA here in Adelaide when we travel also Google in the places your heading to which is a great help,we always make a booking 2 days ahead of each CP. We put our cat in a crate out side or leave it in the van but never left unattended at the Park. National Park no entry with animals. Happy Travels.

Hi,

We've encountered two van parks that take dogs but not cats (I kid you not), but these were on the east coast. It's very frustrating.

Hi Rivor, Tomzys and Gwizz,

I was after any tips, tricks and ideas about how to successfully travel with cats as I have never tried but are interested. I have a pop top 16.5 ft van and 2 older cats. Any help would be valued.

Thanks everyone,
Panther.
