John. Agree. They are great to have. We have found that having a thermometer in the motorhome fridge is essential so as to monitor temperatures for peace of mind. Have now put one into house fridge as well. Cheers Phil
Oh you show off buggers living in the East........well, Aldi is opening here in WA in a few months (even if its about an hour south of Perth CBD), so you wont be able to brass us Westies off by telling us all these great buys you get on just about anything from Aldi (other than a rocket to the moon). They reckon within 2 years they will open 70+ shops in WA - lets hope it happens, we could do with some great prices over here......................lol

Just a follow up on the thermometers - All tested accurate against a mercury thermometer and are easy to read with the clock face dial.
The fridge one is handy as it indicates the temperature rise when the door is opened to be about 3-4 oC dependant on how long its open & room temp.
Different areas in the fridge vary slightly in temp (all good info when stacking the shelves and where best to place perishables for maximum effect).
When restocking the fridge after a trip to the supermarket the temperature can go up to 10 oC.
We do a bit of outback travel and with the fridge on 12 volt it only holds the temp so the thermometer will be great to monitor the fridge performance in the warmer climate while travelling.
Cheers, John
I'll slip into an Aldi and have a look at these on my next trip to the shops .... 6 Aldi outlets within 5 km of my place . Springwood, Kuraby, Garden City, Sunnybank Hills, Sunnybank & Coopers Plains.
Bloody shopping centers everywhere here. Don't know how they all make a quid. Just like Asian Restaurants. A WW surburban Centre opened down the road a year or so ago along with (from memory) 7 Asian restaurants. Only one gone bust but another is already being fitted out to take its place. Dozens more up the road about 2 km away.
edit ... Oops, I just noticed that the initial post was early Dec. I'm probably too late.

I grabbed one when I saw the OP (lucky I was in Brisbane at the time to collect my m/home after the fit-out - no Aldi stores around these parts). One thing I noticed was that the temperature at the front of my fridge (194 litre Novakool) is a couple of degrees warmer that at the back - a lesson to keep temperature-sensitive stuff at the rear.
