i have heard that most if not all the rest sites you cannot stay overnight at anymore

we only have a limited time away each trip so only require overnight stays

also on a limited budget $40 for 8 hours each night is not the best option for our self contained unit

i am thinking of just stopping outside a home and asking if we can just rest on their lawn overnight

we have room for a caravan and can even provide power and water for overnighters on our front lawn

There is no problem with finding free camping where ever you go. Use Camps Aus Wide and Wikicamps combined and you will find exactly what you need. I only free camp, never have a problem. A lot of the talk is scare tactics.

There is a site called you-camp.com which has private owners offering spots on their land for you. Have seen it on facebook but haven't looked into it yet.

Hi if you can get a copy of camps 7/8 or other travel guides they support free camping and offer many spots to just park up and boil the billy or google free camp spots  all the best good luck

Hi, the camping site for private properties is    youcamp.com    not sure how to make it clickable though. Lots of listings, safe travels.

Cheers,

Annie

Another site is Caravan Overnight Farmstays $11 membership for Property Owners and Travellers. We joined this year in while in WA as there are about 25 properties from Geraldton to the Southern Coastline to Esperance.

Cheers Kev.

CMCA members have the option of stopping overnight at Member Stopovers. They are shown in the club app Geowiki, and are a member benefit
