Getting MUCH closer!

Well Maz and I have finally picked a van we both like - A 2005 Trailcraft 540 Panorama! Double bed that is easy to get around, Combined shower/loo. 2400Kg ATM.  We have put a deposit down and will complete the paperwork next week.  Only problem is we still don't have a tug :( !!

Dealer will store for up to 3 months for us so we have a little time but want to get this sorted soon as reasonable.

We bought a DMax about 4 mnths ago and love it. Had no problems at all. Have towed a 3 tonne 'van all round WA since then and in fact only problem is keeping it under the legal speed limit of 100kmh.
Great price and its based on the Isuzu light truck, so any country mechanic can fix it - watch out for the more exotic vans/utes like the VW.
We got the base model, the SX, because it is fitted with town/country tyres, has the strongest rear leaf springs of all the DMaxs and has rubber flooring - don't get carpet for caravanning.
The DMax is the only rated 4 cylinder rig to tow 3.5 tonne and fuel consumption is brilliant - not a big difference between when the 'van is attached and when its not
We love our DMax - but whatever you choose, shop around the Dealers and buy at the end of any month when most Dealers want to max their monthly sales and more likely to do a good deal

Sure is a nice looking Den, Maz and I. I also agree that a Tug would be a very good idea and needs to go to the top of the need list.

Who is out front pulling the Den now, Maz or I confuse  I have this vision biggrin
