What is happening we seem to be experiencing an unprecedented exit of members, is there a reason for this or is it just a natural cycle that all forums and groups experience?

Its a shame to see people go but life goes on and members also move on I guess , Just cherish the friends that we have and hope the others return .

Freedom of choice goes with our democratic system. Whilst it is not good to see intelligent, worthwhile contributors jumping ship it is their decision for reasons known only to them and no amount of discussion will serve any useful purpose.

There seems several people jumping ship in various other forums as well. Is there a conspiracy????

Bottom line is if you don't agree to terms of a forum and /or administrators then go start your own forum. After all the administrators necks are on the line so just accept that and move on. It does not mean you have to agree with decisions but the forum is not the place to dispute any decision.

I state my piece if people choose to disagree  then so be it. I am in control with my mouse clicks. Life is too short.

Let us just enjoy the good bits and don't give the administrators and grief.

Thank you administrators for committing your time for our enjoyment.

Neil

Goldilocks gave me a small gold nugget as a prezzie and said he would take me prospecting one day, so it's a surprise to learn that he's left the forum. However, he knows where to find me. Looks like someone was giving him a bit of grief - he wasn't shy about speaking his mind hehe.

Another Forum I belong to seems to be getting into a lot of mud slinging towards certain members and some may depart their, Some even calling for the forum to be closed. It seems that some just get jack of being abused, But you have to answer to keep it going so I find just ignore those who get under your skin.

As others have said life is far tooooooooooooooo short to be bothered. They call me a Grumpy old man but I always treat other people with respect. Those that deserve it not command it. Cheers Allan

I came to this forum because of too much cr** on another forum, so I just ignore it.

Pity we didn't have an ignore button eh.

Was invited to another forum but don't see the point,,, I know who's posts I don't bother reading by now anyway.

it seems all these folks are going for two primary reasons - first was the complaints made by 2 people about some raunchy avatars and signatures (many had been there for a long time) and then it got personal and nasty on the techo thread.

I got all wound up and considered leaving (stayed off site for a couple of weeks) after my avatar and signature was removed.

Then I thought what I got off this Forum and what a could contribute was more than packing a sad and leaving.

So Im still here and being positive as it used to be earlier this year. We all need to be the same and stop bringing up the departure of members (even some of the Gurus) - it just focusses everyones attention to this issue.

C'mon guys, lets stop discussing this, lets not slag and bag each other, lets not get personal and nasty and instead be helpful, informative and HAPPY!!!!!!

I agree completely - lets get over it, and move on!  We are all supposed to be adults on here (even though we do have several nutters) - but some are acting like children - "if I can't play by MY rules, I'll take my bat and go home"!!!!!!!!

Some folks are pretty thin skinned and any form of criticism is taken totally out of proportion. If those who feel so terribly offended decide they want to go, then go, no problem.

I believe that many others leave for an altogether different reason. Unfortunately, some of the "STARS" of the Forum think they are duty bound to clog up the pages here with every tiny bit of useless information about their little adventures in paradise. Here's a bit of news for you, most of the rest of us aren't that interested if you attended a happy hour and someone brought a cake along!!!

If any members feel they must tell their immediate friends, who do happen to care, about their little escapades, then by all means do so via PMs or a link to your Facebook page. Don't bore the majority of us with irrelevant stuff about the minutia of your life.

Finally, it would be really good if those that believe they are oh so clever when they upload obscure, unrelated and at times offensive images from the internet, would give it a miss. By and large they add about as much to the conversation and are as "funny" as a fart in a space helmet.

Let the games begin!!
