We chatted to a Bailey owner, he was in love with his van, they are very light so a single axle is all that is required. They have all sorts of luxury additions. But he said the water tank is very small, something that's not helpful if travelling in remote areas, and you need to stay on the blacktop.

Our Bailey is single axle, internal length is 5.608 or 18'6" and external length is 7.194 or 23' 7"

We have not had any problems with it being single axle, MTPLM is 1500 kg and our Ford Territory

doesn't even realise it is towing something.  Hope this helps.

Hi BH , we have a tandem Bailey senator and love it , theyre a great van , and l presume a single axle would tow well too
Are you looking at private vans or from a yard ? Things to check are the double glazed windows , as the originals had a delaminating issue on some vans ( most vans , not only bailey , got recalled or offered replacement windows , so it should've been dealt with by now )
Check for gas and electrical compliance of course , and test out things like toilet flushing working , fan on heater working etc

And we also tow ours with a Territory :)

Good Luck ! !
