Gooday all, I tried to download camps 7 for my TomTom GO910 yesterday but windows said there was a problem with the file and blocked it, consequently you only get one shot at this and now the download has gone, has anyone any idea how I can contact the supplier or what can I do?
The "Camps" book publishers use Hema for their maps. About 3 months ago I shelled out $700 for a Hema 7 GPS being told that all the info the camps books would also be in the GPS.
This is not the case at all and there are many free camps and C/P's listed in the book that are not in the GPS s/ware. And there are no updates to download yet to fix the problem.
I hope that with the new Camps 8 coming out next Feb, that their GPS will be more reflective. Its a pain to have to have readily at hand both the book and the GPS stuck to your windscreen and then instead of the GPS figuring out and telling you where your waypoint or final destination is (which is why we have GPS') you have to go back to the old way of working out your mileage/speedo/distances given in the Camps book.
The Hema GPS has some really neat features in it, but the poor navigational s/ware is very disappointing, especially given its cost and the sales promises. Sadly Hema have not replied to my (polite) emails to them on this issue

Gooday Bruce and Bev. I haven't used the camps download yet, but I had trouble navigating to Lat and Longs that were in the camps 6 book, either the listings weren't quite right or my GPS isn't right, this happened on a number of locations, I put in the Southings and Eastings for Hickey Falls and reached my destination in the middle of Coonabarabran about 38 klms away, back to the book and do it the old way
