Suggest Teresa Creek dam. while not a free camp it is $10 per night. has hot showers and sit down toilets. also a dump point. Not far From Clermont. we booked in for a few days and stayed 5 weeks. well worth the stop.

What to see is so subjective but I'd give the Stockman's Hall of Fame and the Qantas museum at Longreach a miss I thought them over-priced and over rated- there are better things to spend you money on. You may want to check out the free camp on the western side of town.

Winton is a much under rated town IMO. Heaps to do and the Waltzing Matilda museum is great and great value. Go to the visitor info centre. I'm pretty sure we stayed in the CP this time around.

Get Wikicamps on your phone or pad to get details of free camps - its cheap and reliable.

Regards

Dave
