We have just had 4 days at beautiful Wuruma Dam...a free camp near Eidsvold. Sometime during the past couple of weeks some MORON emptied their toilet cassette into the urinal of the toilet block....a septic system that required a plumber to sort it out again. A few days earlier another cassette was emptied into one of the rubbish bins provided at the site.
It is no wonder that so many camp sites are being closed if this sort of disgusting behaviour continues to occur.
That gives us all a bad name. If anybody actually witnesses this sort of thing it is a good idea to dob them in to the local council. Take a note of, or photograph their rego number.
a black water dump point as far as I can find out, using makers web site, doesn't need sewerage. It's a grey water dump point that needs it, that is why you don't see a lot of black and grey water dump points only black water ones.
That is downright pathetic. there are signs in the toilets warning of the consequences of doing that.
seems there are some real morons among us(the camping/caravan/motorhome fraternity not GN's).
such a beaut place to camp too. Hope it can stay open.
maybe if they charged a fee to enter they could raise enough money to put in a dump point.
just an idea

We too were at Bedford Weir a few weeks ago, and as we drove out, watched a "fellow grey nomad" empty the contents of their cassette into the bush beside the camp. There used to a dump point here, but it has been closed, now you have to go into Blackwater. On the other hand, there is perfectly good flushing toilets to use (not to dump into)

unfortunately, the grumpy old men (and women) also are part of the Nomads and too many of these feel the world owes them everything and don't care about the consequences of their actions (not only dumping the contents of their toilets) but dumping rubbish, taking over free camping areas by selfish parking, overstaying time limits and so on........then put them together with some of the YOUNG overseas visitors flipping round the continent in a matter of a couple of months leaving toilet paper blowing around in Park Areas (and camping there when theyre not supposed to), dumping their empty baked bean cans........................

That's a pretty recent happening. The Dump Point was still operating about 6 months ago, when Marj. and Co. were still there just before they left for the West.
A dump point can be connected to septic or sewerage - the main problem is, if it is a septic system and people are using "lovely" smelling chemicals, and not the sodium percarbonate rich clothes and nappy soaker, empty their cassettes into the toilet - and it can wreck the septic system. Sodium percarbonate is used in the nappy soaker is use to start a septic system working, and is safe to use in septics, the ideal percentage of SP is about 34%, for best results. No other products should be added to the sodium percarbonate.

There are some very remote dump points in rest stops in WA. Does anybody know how they work? A septic system would work with all the chemicals, maybe they are pumped out? We saw a gang of workers come round cleaning the toilets and refilling the water tank.
Human race is the worst species on this wonderful planet. They hate, steal, lie, cheat, kill, maim, deceive, conspire, defraud etc etc etc. After 63 yrs on this mud ball and witnessing first hand the atrocities committed by one human being onto others, nothing surprises me anymore, nothing. The one good in all of this is that the good ppl outweigh the bad.....for now.
Heres a goody. We were in a northern WA caravan park which had no dump point, but there was a public one run by the local Shire about 2Km away.
I walked into the male toilets to see a guy emptying his cassette toilet down a toilet and splashing the contents all over the floor.
I just turned round, walked over to the Park office and told them. Half an hour later the guy, his wife and 'van were out of the park.
They had no excuse, as when you booked into the park, they gave you a mud map of the area which included a location arrow for the dump point and when we booked in, they told us there was no point in the park, but there was one marked on the map.
Dirt, lazy, pigs............

Hi all. So far in 2 years fulltime GN I have not witnessed firsthand any of these apologies for humans in these acts. I really hope I never do as I will have to tell the judge " Sir, in situations such as this I am not responsible for my actions" as I am led away to serve my sentence for serious assault.
