We came across some more granite on our recent tour of Eyre Peninsular.
These lumps are about 50KMs south of Streaky Bay (between Streaky and Port Kenny) just off the B100 (The main west coast drag)
Once again it showcases nature at its wildest. These are granite outcrops shaped over the millenia into giant "stacks".
Wikicamps shows the site as a freecamp, however we found the area very sloped and not at all conducive to camping. There is a concrete tank shaped loo. and not much else.
Entry to the haystacks is by donation (prices on a board) via a shed and dirt path. Plenty of snake like nature about on hot days so take care.
We came in via Poochera and Streaky bay where I paid $1.67 a liter for diesel
