You're not far off the mark, Garry... PJ's almost old enough to be an heirloom. And I agree Vic, those upper fold-outs look remarkably like the front and rear ends of a pop-up camper. The folding chair looks kinda familiar too.

Carry on camping were the Carry On gang from the UK,

im betting not either troopy.. biggrin

 

I remember some great ole pictures of camping at Ayers Rock at a place called Stuarts Well (With Dinky the Singing dingo @ Jim's Place )... people staying in tents and riding in buses with open windows for air conditioning..

 

we have become so soft these days..

 

fantastic story's and pictures at Jims Place... if you've never been there I highly recommend you drop in for a night or two..
