Two companies polar opposites in the customer service department.
I am in need of a new toilet cassette. No problem, or so I thought. I did the ring around here in Brisbane to find out where I could purchase one, had all the details of the number etc, and finally found a place that over the phone said yes they stocked it and all would be good. Now I have to say the gentleman on the phone, was lovely and very helpful. Going into the business and being "served" by one of the female staff, left a lot to be desired.
So this is first thing Monday morning, greeted with a sour face, and a sigh when I explained what I wanted. I showed her the phamplets of my cassette and she proceeded to tell me that didn't matter as she needed to know colour of the cassette, the size, was it left or right, and a myriad of other questions. Of course I thought I had come forearmed with the information required but no, I had not, and this proved to be a great source of more frustration to said saleswoman. She asked me what kind of MH I had, and when I told her, she humpppffffeed, and said " Ohhh an imported one", No was my reply, built in Australia by Aussies. "Well, they import their parts".
I said look I will ring the company and find out where I can order it from, and the exact details as she still was not going to look at the details of my instruction manual. I did this and of course on the other end of the phone was the exact opposite. Amanda from Wirraway, told me the name of their supplier and the order number of the part required. I relayed this to the woman in front of me and was told she had never heard of them and she would order direct from Thetford. Walked off to back office, leaving me standing there, and when she eventually came back, told me she could order it and it would be $220, be in at the end of the week. OK says I, go ahead. Giving her a big smile, said thank you and left.
I got back to the car and decided to call Amanda back. Asked her if she could order me one and have it sent up to me in Brisbane. No problems, but first she was going to call the supplier to see if they had a contact in Brisbane for me to go to so I did not have to wait for delivery. Called back in about 5 minutes explaining that the Brisbane contact was out of stock so apologising that it would take until the end of the week to be delivered. That was fine by me, so I asked her the price, $145, RRP. I could not believe it. So that will of course go a little higher with GST and freight. When asked how to pay for it, don't worry about it, I will invoice you via email at the end of the month, pay direct to our account.
Needless to say first company got another phone call to cancel the order and I will not reccommend or go back there again. I certainly hope the poor lady's week improved and she had no more customers wanting caravan or MH spare parts in the front door annoying her.
I have to say in the 12 months since driving Miss Daisy, I cannot recommend Wirraway MH's in Mildura highly enough. Rob and Amanda are the salt of the earth and believe I have phoned with some out there questions. Love those guys. So huge bouquets to Mildura.

I hate that when you go somewhere and the person serving you is so unfriendly when this happens I always smile at them when I leave and say have a nice day.
Had dealings with a firm a while ago, and the woman (wife) was the rudest person I have ever seen in business. We were overcharged, but was a water pump for the motor home, in a remote area, so necessary - with an attitude like hers it is a wonder they have a business. Couldn't go anywhere else, only caravan mob in town.

When I leave I say "I'm terribly sorry I spoilt your day". By the confused look on their faces, they still don't get it. Instead they view the comment as proof that I'm a nutcase. Oh well.... Its satisfying though.
After all you only want to crap in it and not put up with the crappy service , some people get up on the wrong side of the bed and take it out on everyone else , not good for customer relations .
Yes I too have recently come across people that obviously don't like there jobs., only I was soooo upset with her attitude, she made me feel like a low life, I rang her boss, complained of my treatment by there staff, needless to say she doesn't work there anymore., hohum.,
Way to go Sharon, hope your toot isn't too long await.,
