We stayed there in about 2001, it was a Top Tourist park then and owned by the same family that owned the TT on the east side of Bribie Island (we stayed there too).

It was about 75% permanents, many of whom had social problems, ex convicts or mental problems.  The ablutions were shared and they were filthy, despite no smoking signs in the ablutions there were cigarette butts and nicotine smells everywhere (smoke coming from cubicles etc).

I believe it was almost a no go area for police and they were called out to it frequently because of stabbings, drug deals and shooting etc.

The only good part was it was behind a major shopping centre with a bus station (Aspley Shopping Centre?) for busses to town and had a pedestrian gate (locked at night) at the rear to use for the shops bus etc.

PS:  We had no problems while there but it was not the sort of park you would want to stay at again.  An old bloke in a nearby onsite caravan had a flag pole he would put Aussie flag up and down every, he suffered a major heart attack while we were there and died, they removed his caravan to a storage area as it was owned by him.   He showed me some cigarette burn scars to his body where he was tortured by the Nazi's in WW2.

The 2 parks involved have been major problems for many years.
The police action should have been done long ago and repeated on a regular basis.
Sad but true.
