Free camping Rich River Golf Club

changes have been made to the free camping

1/ It is still free to use the dump point at Rich River Golf Club

2/ If you want to camp the night you will need to become a social member of the club - social membership costs $11 per person

( but only one person in the party needs to become a member )- your social membership also comes with a welcome pack including wine and coffee vouchers and meal deal vouchers.  The social membership is valid for 12 months

FYI

Ken

I stayed there last year Ken, thanks for the update as likely to stay there again this year. They have great Seniors lunches. I think it was $12 for two courses.

A few years ago when I played a lot of senior amateur golf there was an annual match play tournament staged at Rich River. It was one of the most enjoyable weeks on the calendar as both courses at Rich River were presented in excellent condition and the event was well run.

As some may know, a number of the caravan parks in Moama were bought out by ASPEN PARKS. This changed everything for us. Major changes were made to every aspect of both parks that we had previously used and we refused to be treated in the way the new owners/managers treated us.

I wrote to the then manager of the Rich River Golf Resort outlining why I wouldn't be returning to their tournament and in the letter I suggested they should look at utilising some of the spare land near their units for short stay caravanners, who were there to use the resort facilities.

It looks like the penny has finally dropped and by the sounds of it, there is now a great alternative available for vanners wanting to stay in this great part of the country. Whilst this isn't the first golf course to provide space for a few vans, perhaps other golf clubs might look at following their example. Surely it's a win-win for both groups.

C'mon guys,

You may know where Rich River Golf Club is, but may I suggest that you use some good old common sense and at least mention the town or region or State for that matter.

I guess that it is just me having a beef. But if you want to communicate a message to people , then may I suggest that one does it a little better than the example shown here

I mentioned the town of Moama in my post and unless I'm horribly mistaken, there's only one town in the country spelt that way. How hard would it have been to look it up JayDee?

 Hi Bear,

We sent them home from Mildura..smilesmile

Rich River Golf Resort is at Moama on the NSW side of the Murray and is the best free camp about..

it costs $11 to join the club of which you get $10.50 back in freebees in the way of vouchers to be spent in the club...

their poker machines are generous but in the end they win like all other ones..

Echuca/Moama are two border towns on the Murray. Echuca being on the Victorian side and Moama being on the NSW side.
There is not much in the way of Free camping in either, so when Rich River Golf Club opened up this area and installed a dump point, and a drinking water tap, it was a much needed amenities for both towns.

The only dump point in Echuca is inside a caravan Park and you have to pay to use it.
