Hi Cruiser .First up do yourself a favour and give us a first name !! Now your ask .... I am anti any ad ons re exhaust, chip etc however you neglected to tell us the type vehicle you drive. Some tugs are happier with these ad ons than others .I believe that you need to work out how long you will retain the tug to make it worthwhile fitting certain bits .cheers John

Mate I have a 2009 V8 Troopy with a after market Foam air filter because the OEM on's do no seal 100%. I also have a ROO systems chip and 3" SS exhaust, Man it has made a BIG difference and my fuel is the same. Would recommend them to anyone. It has freed up a very good engine to be a great engine
Cheers

as a Mechanic of over 30 years I find a 3" exhaust on a car utterly ridiculous and a waste of time and money...
putting another fuel filter on when the experts have already designed one perfectly for the vehicle is another waste of time and money unless you are having a problem with water or dirt bigtime..
good chips are well worth it
unblocking your exhaust is well worth it - if you understand whats in the exhaust system in the first place...
like those stinking particulate mufflers!!
chip it, pull out the particulate muffler and you are as good as gold... don't throw money away
Just off topic
I drove around the block this arvo with the handbrake on maybe not fully
It was smokin hot
Is there anything that i have majorly damaged or do they design these things for d****heads like myself
It is a diesel GU patrol

if it was only around the block don't worry about it too much..
unless your brakes were worn out already they'd have hardly taken any wear..

Blue G/day mate
those particulate filters are the problem to keep my tug leagle I went to the high flow 3" one. If you take them out and are involved in a prang and the insurance assessor spots it you will have no insurance so to solve the problem on the troopy I went that way as the original exhaust system on the V8 Toyota's are very restrictive, And besides I got mine for nothing as roo systems were looking for a troopy to use as a templet for the system they needed the car for a week and the payoff was a 3" Stainless Steel system Happy days. so I got the chip The system and a dyno tune to my specks for 1400 bux cant complane about that.
PS and both my son's are diesel fitters with CAT so they won't let me do anything to risk my engine. (the bossy little buggers) HAHAHAH
Cheers

Crusaderhilton/John, do yourself a favour and look up on the LCOOL forum. There is heaps of information regarding exhausts and chips. There is a thread written by DIESELTUNER about chips. A must read before looking at chips.

Hi Mr Hats..
as far as im aware..
its not a legal requirement to have the particulate filters in Australia..
they are a Euro "thing" .. so don't let anyone bullshirt you ..
I was originally told the same thing but then the guy backed down and admitted that it wasn't a legality in Australia.. ohhhhh ok
when the particulate filter blocks they want you to buy another $3500 particulate muffler.. well that's just BS
on our mazda 6 at work, we put it on a computer to "untick" the cars computer to say that it has a particulate filter..
step two.. knock a hole straight through the Particulate Muffler.. some companies open them up and take out the filter altogether and then reweld them back together again..
End result,
a car that can breath again, more power, more economy..
now our Mazda goes like the clappers... more power than its ever had in its life
