Matilda Clancy Motohome

I'm thinking of buying a Matilda Clancy 2001, petrol, manual. Does it make a difference touring, regarding petrol verses diesel. And is it better with 2 wheels at the rear verses 4.

Thanks

Helen

we have petrol/gas , doesn`t seem to be a problem , just had a mate come back from the Red centre , diesel $2.05 ltr but not sure on petrol although good people on this forum say that it is redly available, personal preference on wheels some like single some like double although they say that singles are better in rough terrain as they don't pick up rocks as easy, I`m use to duels because that's what the coaster comes with , maybe a little more stable with duels not sure but I am positive someone on this forum knows better than me.

Hi Helen..

Having had a petrol motor home....now driving a deisel, without a doubt deisel requires far less maintenance, just set and forget so to speak, having said that however, I believe the deisel motor can be slightly more expensive to repair. Your choice. I have duel wheel at rear, once again I regard it as being more stable, but at an extra cost.

In conclusion, I would never go back to a petrol motor and would always prefer duel wheels.

Good luck

George

Hi Helen haven't heard from you for ages l have had 2 diesel motorhomes now and would never go back to petrol all they need is a regular oil change fuel and a good starter battery and they will go forerever fuel is available even in the smallest and most remote places

Ok thanks guys, I'll wait for a diesel motorhome of similar size.

Nelson Bay is having a CMCA week in the Sports complex expecting 1000 vehicles, I'll go to the open day on Tues 7th for a sticky beak at the motorhomes.

Hey Steve, still following you, you lucky boy. Bloody hell I'm jealous.

G'day Billeeeee.....Fatdog is well, but like his master eager to get back to Greens and see some familiar faces.   Probably early December.

Cheers
