Macksville to Bellingen (Mid north coast NSW)

Hi

Can anyone tell me if the road from Macksville to Bellingen, via Bowraville & Brierfield is is suitable to tow a van? All replies appreciated.

Cheers Pete

Was n Me hi

We were out that way a few years back and I recall it was very good grade of dirt road, the logging trucks use it along with cattle trucks. I seem to recall less then 15 ks. Of unsealed roadway.

Hope this will help. Ralph

The road has been closed for a couple of years due to flood damage in 2009. It is not possible to get from Bowraville to Bellingen via that road, even in a 4WD. Grantly

Thanks Grantly, I guess that rules that one out. I like to get of the highways & onto the back roads where possible. Great idea Oldbobsbus, I'm a bit short on time this trip.

Thanks for the replies. Cheers Pete

Hi All

Been in Bellingen for few days now enjoying great weather, plant life is amazing with colour.

Showgrounds a bit dearer then I would like but its green with plenty of room which I like. Ralph.

PS. Hope you know what I mean, a pretty good spot to veg out.  Bugger the cost. Ralph
