I had never heard of this before, very interesting historical WW1 Australian Flag;

The church were this flag was held also has a number of other ww1 and ww2 memorabilia. If you are ever in Newcastle the church is well worth a visit.
If you get the right guide you can even climb the very narrow stairs to the bell tower and steeple and the views from the top are magnificent.

It would be great if they could make a true replica of the flag, they have a black and white photo of it I think the article said, but no colour photo's other than the remains of it... cry
