Waeco fridges

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the main differences between a Waeco TC-35FL and a Waeco CDF-35?  They are the same capacity (35 litres) but the CDF-35 is nearly twice the price.  It is listed as a fridge/freezer whereas the TC-35FL is a cooler and heater and it is larger.

Also does anyone have any idea of the power draw of the units in Amp Hours/day?  Or, relatively, which one uses less power when in the same conditions?

I'm thinking of running the fridge off a 105AH AGM battery and using a solar panel when camped for periods of up to a week, and charging the battery off the car when driving.

The TC-35FL is a peltier device type cooler, very poor in performance & they are power hungry. Any amb temperature above 30degC the internal goes up. Having had those type of fridges before I would advise don't go there. Buy the compressor one CDF-35, you wont look back.

Current consumption: 0.75 Ah/h at +20°C ambient temperature,
1.13 Ah/h at +32°C ambient temperature,
both at +5°C interior temperature

That's on the CDF35. I've got the 25l compressor fridge/freezer, it's great.

Cheers,

MJ
