THAT'S NOT A MIRROR

This is a mirror

image.jpg

How,

Just had the Clear View Mirrors fitted to the Colorado and wow, what a difference a mirror makes. No mucking around fitting strap or clip on one's any more.

Bring on the "Chief".      Better still bring on the sale of Base Camp.

Well done Doug, yes you need to see whats behind & along side you at all times.

With the truck we dont have to use additional mirrors any more, great.

They do look smart, I just can't get my head around the price of them. Would definitely love pair and once our van arrives will see what happens. I know my old ones have to go.

I put them on the Triton 6 months ago, no more 'side slaps' from trucks on the Nullarbor.

I reckon if I look closely into them I can see where I had lunch yesterday! biggrin

I have serious mirror envy! Can I ask how much it was to fit them? I've had 2 quotes and neither were cheap ie $130 and $190.

Also, ORA Products are selling the same for $660 but limited in the car range.

$50 MJ. Local in my hometown. You can PM if you want. TJM in Pakenham quoted $50 as well but local was less fuel.

Very happy camper here. Happier when I sell base camp though.

Depending on your vehicle type they are not difficult to fit, a instruction dvd comes with them too.  Probably 15 minutes a side.

Cheers Neil

Neil, did you fit your own?

They slide in and out but do they also fold back towards the door?

No I didn't but can see now how easy it is.  I always fold mine back in narrow parking bays for both for damage prevention & also to not hamper ppl walking through.

thanks Neil, I have to park my 80 series right against the wall, with the mirror (80 series) in its normal position, would I be able to do that with those mirrors?

I reckon you would mate. They fold into about the same as your existing mirrors probably, maybe a little more.

For $50 I wasn't prepared to stuff 'em up. Many $$$$$ to outlay so well worth the $50.

Mate I reckon if you put one either side of the wombat hole you could see if Mrs W was behind looking as you sneak out to play.

We also have them and have had for about 2.5 years. They're brilliant. We tow a caravan and find extending them is such a breeze after having truck mirrors which we did think were good. We also tow a Vista Crossover when we do remote trips and we don't have to extend them at all for it. Again they are brilliant as we can see everything.

As Doug said, folded in they protrude no further than the originals folded in.
