We are after recommendations for A-Frames - we want to tow our Barina behind our bus. We are hoping more experienced travellers will be able to advise on the best ones.

We have Ready Brute Elite. Did a lot of research before buying and was also guided by experience of others. I had hoped to buy Australian made, but not to be. A factor we had to keep in mind was that I might be using the rig solo.
Reasons for my choice: 1. Do not have to be totally level or exactly lined up, in order to hitch up. 2. Is light enough and easy enough to use that it can be done solo. 3. Very well engineered 4. Brake for towed vehicle can be installed with it.
But it was more expensive than some.
The importer (in Qld) recommended a business near us, in Melbourne, who would arrange to get it through him, and would install it. We were very happy with the product and installation.
Have done a couple of trips now, with the Terios in tow. I can take the car off the bus in about 2-3 minutes. The "arms" of the hitch fold up at the back of bus when hitch not is use - out of the way, and do not have to take it off bus. I can put car back on tow in 4-5 minutes. Totally happy with the choice.
We used a homemade one for a long time and were very happy with it towing a Nissan Pulsar..
Recently we had the chance to buy a Hitch n Go so we bought it along with Vitara all fitted up and it included the engineers certificate..
It really isn't any better than the homemade one and if I was to change it I would certainly go for the telescopic type as they are so much easier to connect up on your own as Wendy says..
From my research this type are all much the same price so it comes down to personal choice..

Like Wendy I will be having the Brute fitted to my MH, to tow a Suzuki vitara. Have seen them installed on a mh parked up next to me earlier in the month. As a solo, I need something quick, light, and easy, this ticks all the boxes. The people who had one showed me how it worked and then had me use it, easy peasy. I am getting excited about the freedom this will give me.

Hi Rosita - we have a falcon 2 a frame that we are very happy with. We tow a Hyundai Getz. Something for you to check - does your Barina handbook say that it can be flat towed. A surprising number of cars can't be these days.
Cheers - Phillip
