i'm looking into a hitch for 5th wheeler , the place where i got my van from has given me a price $ 4500 have been to reece been given a price of $3600 with break controler on euro hitch.
is the euro hitch good enough, or do i upgrade to next won.
Dave, what you put in the tug has to match up with the type of hitch on the 5th wheeler, so what ever they use then limits your choices.
Just make sure you get a unit that pivots both ways, Some of the earlier ones only pivoted for and aft, not sideways.
This leads to cracking of either the hitch or the receiver.

Hi Glenelg my 5th has a recce hitch but I got it pre loved so no had choice don't like it much due to limited east west travel it can rock sideways but not far so when I go over relatively small ditch bumps ect when turning it puts preasure on the ute and also the van hitch and frame, if I were getting a new one it would defiantly have a 3 inch ball hitch I will be changing mine in due course, have heard comments like the Reece is easier to back upto but ge if you can't back up to the hitch your gonna have a lot more trouble backing into a van park spot
just my 20 cents worth
