TOP TO BOTTOM;;

Well we have surfaced again, been a while but many areas down the middle have no service.

WE have completed the trip from Darwin to Adelaide over a few weeks visiting areas in the NT along the way.

Heading over to the York peninsula to morrow for a few days then back through here again.

Return trip route home is not decided as yet as we have a couple more things to do here in town when we pass back through in a few days.

One very noticable item is that when you cross the boarder from the NT into SA the roadside rest areas fail to have any toilet facilities, about one between the boarder & Adelaide, a bit slack considering the vastness of the country & distances between the road houses.

Yesterday here in the park a tennant had his 2kva jenny stolen from the A-Frame of his van in daylight, it was secured with a H/D purchased steel cable & lock , they just cut the cable.

With all the talk recently about chains & shackles etc, a guy arrived here in the park with his brand new $60++ traveller van he had justpicked up with the chains attached with two 75mm snap lock clips from the hardware. Either doesn't understand the purpose of chains or the value of the van, does make one wonder.disbeliefnodisbeliefno

Cheers for now;

JC.

Yes - that was one thing we noticed in SA - the lack of dump points.
As for the genny being stolen - if they don't cut the chain, that hacksaw through the handle of the genny itself!
Someone needs to tell the man with the chains a few facts of life, don't you think.

Enjoy the peninsula - we are currently around York in WA - what a beautiful town it is. Heading to Wagin to meet up with psw25 (Phil) who couldn't make it to the Get Together last week.

Welcome back JC, good to hear all is ok and still enjoying out in the playground.

I was starting to think you both got GN napped by Aliens for research purposes.

I was in the city of churches myself on Tuesday, just for a few hours, looking at a new caravan. Didn't do anything about it though in the end.

If you decide to head home via Victoria and Sth West Gippsland, yell out.
