The big pit Kalgoorlie


biggrinHappy fathers day to all the dads out there.,

i'm waiting waiting, at Norseman,

thought I'd post my Kalgoorlie pics,

it took my breath away, could'nt fathom  how deep it is.

I used to work for Caterpillar and know how big those trucks are, they look like ants.

Wow, same shot as your second one, ours taken march 2013 - amazing how much it has changed since then.  Were you at the lookout for a "blast".  Quite an earthmoving experience.

Sorry to hear about your plight Frangipani, nice pit photo's.  

I've driven one of those trucks in a past life, they are big alright but not from that distance.

doesn't hurt to have a few days breather fran...

its an amazing pit yes... brings back memories... I've been there twice now with the second time going on a tour into the pit... fantastic smile
