Last time I went to Hervey Bay I noticed a van storage place on the way in. Sorry but I can't recall the details . Maybe a Google search might turn up a result.
Most campers to Fraser Is. leave from Inskip point, but I suppose that there might be a vehicular ferry from the Bay.
There used to be a place on the right hand side going in to HB from Maryborough that stored vans. From memory just after the turn off to River Heads, you can see the stored vans from the road.
Wee are going to Fraser Island as well, have to say due to a early start of a new job the trip has been cut from two weeks to four nights so have decided to suck it up and pay camping site fee at the caravan park we are staying at the night before and after :0
Have to say it is costing us $31 a night to do so but I'm hoping I will think the money is worth it when we get off the island and the van is all ready to sleep in.....
if you go to hervey bay caravan park( near I think it is urangan bowls club) storage is fairly cheap and yes the place on the left heading into town is still there .if you need more info pm me im in the bay twice a week at least
Greetings to those that responded and thanks - we stayed at the Harbour View Tourist Park for 3 days before going to Fraser Island and then 1 night once we returned - the Manager, Barry, was most kind and let us leave the van on site and set up while we were gone at no cost - nice bloke - he scored a box of cans for his kindness.
