Theodore has it all going for us , A free camp on the river called the junction with hot shower and toliet donation requested ,And a camp at the local showgrounds with new toliet and shower block power and water $15 a night . It has a nice hotel which has good basic meals , This hotel is owned by the town so more people they can get to come into town the more the town make , And you have a real choice of free and user pay love it
Nice little town - good IGA, coffee shops, gas available at the hardware store - water in the park, lovely walking track along Castle Creek into town. Can get very crowded though!

Yes the junction free camp is full but only 6 at the showgrounds , The shower at the junction are now coin operated so some are coming up to the showgrounds for a shower
If they are stingy enough to go to the showgrounds for a shower it's odds on they are not putting
money in the donation box.
I would have to totally concur with you on that point re donations. Now believe it or not, but we always kick in to the donation " honesty " box, as we want to have the facility there next time we travel that way.
Recently left free camp at St. Lawrence between Rocky and Mackay Qld, had a quick drive around the very small township then realised that we did not kick in for the right to stay there, so on the way back to the highway....... detoured and dropped $$$$ into the box.
I am willing to bet the van that not all the 20 campers there supported the honesty box. Then again, I could lose our van??????
