Hi

 At present we are in Mareeba enjoying the lovely sunshine.

We are staying at this fantastic place just out of Mareeba called Ringers Rest. It is on private property and costs $10.00 per night. It is basic with some power sites. The owner Davenport is a real character and joins in around the campfire at night and keeps you entertained with his stories. Woke up this morning to see the hot balloons loons going past.

For anyone wanting a quiet place to camp I would recommend Ringers Rest

The website states "self contained" does he mean no grey water release or "self sufficient" with own bathroom??

looks like a nice place to stay and the price is certainly right.

There is toilets and good water but no showers. Grey water is let run on ground.

Also has walk down to the creek and suitable for swimming.
