John Williamson CD - especially "cootamundra wattle" and always "true blue".  He captures the essence of Australia.

I see he's also got an album called "old farts in caravan parks" lol lol.

A favourite of mine too Jon, most country and western for me.   Even Lee Marvins "I was born under a wandering star" from the movie "Paint Your Wagon", very appropriate for GN's.

See shorts and hear his song here, music first then the song, sound on;

.. don't know if you heard this when I was over your place, but for some reason I sang this in the mode of Walter Brennan .. tried to do it properly since, but just can't !

Here's my version of the Unicorn .. another oldie, eh !

 Good impersonation of Walter Brennan Jon!  I can't remember those songs you sang with Ivor playing the guitar now though.

Here are a few more songs from the movie that Lee Marvin sang, he was that bad a singer that they wanted someone else to sing them and and he would mouth them, but he insisted in singing them himself.   Somehow they seem to suit his character in the film so glad he did.

See the other songs he sang in the movie at the beginning of this link, click on the titles to play.   The only single he did outside the movie was I Was Born Under a Wandering Star, ;
