Hi Lawrie
3 Places 1 Barn Hill 130 Ks from Broome 2. port Smith 170ks 3.80 Mile beach 320k
1. Barn Hill unpowered sites $22 per night Genset allowed, powered site up to $35 with varying amperage ie No hot water ,microwave, A/c,s, Water avaiable all within a short walk to a Broome style beach ,unisex toilets and showers. If you get the unpowered ocean site lovely views over looking the ocean not avaiable in the powered section
2. Port SMith Powered site $40pn Unpowered site $35 2 Klms from water well set out park ,midgies and sand flys thrown in free
3. Full well set out c/park cost unknown this year.
All are 9 to 22ks of dirt raod roughness dependent on whether they have graded recently.
Very personal opinion leave Port smith alone Barn hill is great rustic but great 80 mile is also great but more dollars than B/Hill.

If you want to stay in Broome try the Pistol Club.

Sandfire Roadhouse And Caravan Park...

stay at least one night... they have heaps of pea****s and other animals wandering around.. lizards etc... wallaby's come in at night..

its the only place that I've ever seen a baby pea****... I was starting to wonder if they were born adults...

a nice quirky place and worth a stay..

drive through parks with some shade

Pistol club is closed this year as an overflow - = but another spot about 26k out of Broome, just 5k from the Port Hedland Turnoff is The Gateway Caravan Park - no power, but ample, really nice water, great amenities, dog friendly, great managers.

$33 a night from memory - we stayed there just recently - well off the highway, large sites - generators allowed 8am - 9pm.
