Mobile internet for samsung tablet gt-p5110

My wife has the above tablet, but it doesn't have a usb port. How can we connect internet dongle to it. I have heard it can get a usb adaptor that connects through the power inlet. Is this so?

Yes you can buy an adapter as I bought one from Ebay and it works fine on my Asus 7in tablet.....OTG Adapter on Ebay. Fairley cheap if you look through the list.

Would wifi be a solution as you don't plug into your laptop. Does the Samsung have wifi? Also does it have a slot for a sim card? Just making suggestions or go to a shop and ask for advice.

Thanks Barina..I will check that out.

Pam. It does have wifi that we use now at home but I was thinking of when we are at a caravan park or away from wifi somewhere.

Get the Wifi Advance hotspot, much better than a usb dongle and can then connect up to 5 Wifi items to the one unit, or just the tablet on its own.

I had the Bigpond 4G usb dongle but went to this on my new contract and its the best, we run two iphones and two ipads through it no problem and it's still 4G, or reverts to 3G if no 4G available.

When I got my usb dongle (Telstra) it came with a two pin plug, with a usb port at the other end - can then be plugged into a 240v power socket, or an inverter.

If your tablet takes a sim card you can take the one out of your phone and put it in the tablet, we now have the Telstra wifi and works great.

We use this one on our 2 laptops and 2 phones, and Samsung tablet, 8 gig 55 a month you can get 4 for 35 i think it is or more 15 gig for 105

A quick search through Mr Google seems to indicate that this tablet can only connect to the internet via wifi
