Hi Mary, both these and the Mazda E2000 are the same vehicle.   I had the Mazda manual E2000 pop top, petrol, it was a very good vehicle, not sure about the diesel one but should be ok as well. smile   For a diesel, I don't think 190k is a very high km, depending on how much they are asking for it.

Ford new parts were cheaper, for instance Mazda were charging $45 for a central hub cab, Ford only $16, just different badges on them.

I ended up buying the Mazda ones at a wreckers for $5 each.

Hi Mary
The ford econovan is a rebadged mazda. I have a 1994 Econovan Maxi with a poptop motorhome mounted on chassi. i am more than happy with it. Dont worry about the age if the kilometers are genuine' We had a mazda diesel E2200 as a work vehicle which did $395,000 kilometers before we gave to a employee and he still drives it to work.

Cheers
Sharke.

Hi Mary , just went through the process of helping a mate roadworthy a E2000 popup . Seems to be a fairly sturdy vehicle and the average diesel is good for around 350/400,000 km without major problems , if you are thinking of buying one get someone who knows that type of vehicle to check it out. Good luck .

Any Mazda(ford)diesel will be ultra reliable and fairly easy to fix, perhaps not the modern common rail models. My last courier diesel did 300000 plus klms with no real problems, and was driven up the peninsula dev road to Bamaga , yesterday.Nephew, who I gave it to, Said that he did 750klms to 60 ltrs. Seeing he usually drives a petrol landcruser, he was impressed. You should have no problems. Bill

The vehicle is clean. No visible rust or signs of misuse.Interior looks good. Will do a test drive and see if vendor agrees to an RACV check and compression test.Still only on 1 battery so no signs of long time on the road.

Thanks for the assistance

Mary

Not planning to sell my ultra outback much travelled out back vehicle but feel a highway warrior such as the van mentioned would allow some quick getaways with a friend or my sis for a trip locally or to Adelaide .I have my Landrover set up to suit me as a solo traveller and its  unstoppable outback. The Econovan would be great to do getaways with company at a leisurely pace.

Thanks for your assistance,

Mary
