In the Park at the moment, last day of 4, costs $25 a night with a 40% discount for seniors, pensioners and cmca/caravan clubs. With it being Sunday (yesterday) went for a drive around and ended up in Wongon Hills, had a quick look at the CP and it had three vans in, checked the costs when we got back and found it was $24 with 10% discount for cmca/caravan clubs only. This difference between both parks were Goomalling Park near full, Wongon Hills 3 vans. Looks like there is a lesson here
I have stayed at both and both towns are very RV friendly.
Goomalling has a very nice public swimming pool at one side for those who like pools etc. A bit closer to Perth so that may have something to do with having more staying there.
The only downside is lots of clubs have their rallies there and they tend to take over the camp kitchen, some don't seem to realise it is there for everyone, not just them.
I like Wongan Hills also, was run by a young owner couple who were very friendly and helpful. I have also stayed at a cabin there as well as a powered site...
Bolgart and Bindoon (see the PO) have very cheap powered sites like Goomalling very basic but ok for an overnighter.

oh dear looks like I shot myself in the foot on this one, didn't stay or go into Wongan hills cp so only said what I saw. And yes Vic, you are right on the camp kitchen, a group were here and did take over it, not that it did bother me as don't usually use them

That probably accounts for why it was fairly full at Goomalling. Some clubs also go to Wongan Hills but Goomalling is the preferred rally CP due to being cheap and also closer to Perth.
You can only call it as you see it goannaway, thanks for posting your views on them
A few months ago we had intended to stay at Goomalling C/P, we didn't go in to check if they had a site it just looked as if it was full. We drove on and had a nice quiet night at Wongan hills.
As you say Goannaway, hardly anyone there, I commented on this to the owner, wondering how they keep going, apparently they have some regulars there who work in the area.
Last year we stayed at Goomalling twice, Perenjori, Dalwallinu & Mullewa, all council owned with highest cost being $100/week. We were very happy with them all. Yes a club came into Goomalling at one time but as we do not use the camp kitchen was not a problem.
