HI Ken ..

had no problems with gmail here at all ..

What I might suggest (if you know how to do it) is to delete all your current cookies ..

They will rebuild in due course, but occassionally they can become corrupted and cause that problem .. that has happened to me in the past ..

cheers mate !

Ken I agree with Jonathan, but to delete the cookies i use a free cleaner program from Piriform called CCleaner. I tend to clean before and after using the internet seems to work for me since i dont have problems that others have.

yeah .. its a good programme Friar .. so much so that after using it for a few years I've decided to support it ..

If you guys are using Mozilla Firefox, you can easily set that to look after your cookies in a variety of ways ..

I've set mine to delete all but a few of my chosen cookies as soon as Firefox closes down ..

cheers!

I would say some gmail accounts have been hacked. We don't have one but we received email from someone who had and they had been hacked.

The Network Password is not GMAIL password... irrespective of what they type.
Its seems to be looking for the authorisation access by which the person connects to the internet....
So its the internet password which is the problem.

Your exactly right Friar Park.. Spot on. Everyone should be using CCLEANER
A very simple little program which when set right, cleans up all the crap easily.
Run it everytime you get off - any net based program - and your worry free.

Then there is nothing left for anyone to hack...
Spot on.
Cheers
KT

You should be able to reset it, nominate another email address for the new pass to go to. I've had a problem before as I forgot the pass to one of my many gmail accounts I manage and I had it reset.

And yes ccleaner is great been using it for years, check your startup program's in it. I usually stop about 70% of them and your computer will love you for it. Allan

Hi Ken , you should be able to enter your user name and use there data base to give you a new password that you can later change to your own liking . There is usually a FORGOT MY PASSWORD passage and they will send you another one. I use AVG and Spybot of which you can set it to delete temporary files etc on exit .

Hello chaps
Have tried all that and changed password but kept coming up with the pop up
I downloaded cccleaner and ran that, and it seems to have got rid of the pop up but not sure if all my emails are coming thru as it has been very quiet on that front

Hi Ken

Unlike phones you can send an email to yourself and test the connection.
